Hey everyone, the final issue of Grant Morrison's run on Batman & Robin is out in stores (to much media fanfare, with its SHOCK! change of the status quo), and here are my pages, unlettered and uncoloured. I would have loved to do the entire issue, but sadly the schedule simply didn't allow it so huge thanks to Frazer Irving and Chris Burnham who helped out with their amazing work!
Unfortunately, none of these pages are for sale...as they don't exist! I did this issue completely digitally, so there are no physical pages. However you can still buy pages from my previous run on Batman & Robin over at Splashpage Art.

ReplyDeleteawesome B & W very strong lines!
ReplyDeleteI was so ready to buy that amazing Robin page
ReplyDeleteThinking of effecting all my comics ideas by putting "Insert Painting Here” in each panel.
ReplyDeleteGod damn, I love your Batman.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff! Loved the issue.
ReplyDeleteCameron - I always have a tough time getting my PhotoShop brush to act like a real one. You've clearly nailed it here. Is it Manga Studio that brings the magic, or is it a custom brush in PS?

Amazing pages! I loved the multi-panel fight scene and you did a great job of capturing the physical difference between Bruce and Dick. So was this the reason you didn't do that issue of Return Of Bruce Wayne?
ReplyDelete9mm Ed- I use Manga Studio exclusively for drawing, no Photoshop at all. The brush/pen algorithm is considerably more natural and convincing.
ReplyDeletePaul- no, I dropped out of RoBW because I didn't have enough time before the deadline to do a job that i would have been satisfied with, so I opted to leave. It wasn't because of any other project.
I just read this issue today, so it's a double delight to see the original line art. Fab work as always, but wish it could have been more.
ReplyDeleteI love this so much!
